Rural Peoria County Public Transportation

County Link Bus Service

Home Delivered Meals for those age 60 and better:  Residents of Peoria, Fulton, Marshall, Stark, Tazwell or Woodford Counties can call the Central Illinois Agency on Aging for details and to see if they qualify.  309-674-2071.

CountyLink Bus Service, Rural Peoria County Public Transportation:  CountyLink operates a door-to-door service.  There are no fixed routes or designated stops for getting on or off the vehicles.  You are picked up at your home or another specified location and dropped off at your destination.  Door-to-door service is provided.  The CountyLink driver is responsible for assisting the passenger to and from the vehicle.  Reservations for rides need to be made by calling, 309-697-3305, Monday thru Friday from 8am-5pm.  Reservations can be made 24 hours in advance to 14 days in advance.  

Princeville Food Pantry:  The food pantry is open to Peoria County residents, the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 5pm-6pm.  It is located at the Princeville Presbyterian Church at 339 S Santa Fe Ave.  (rear entrance)

 

326 Snack Pack Program:  The 326 Snack Pack Program is a non-profit organization local to Princeville. Their mission is to make available snacks and small meals to any School District 326 Princeville students & their families in need.  No sign up necessary.

Pick up is at the United Methodist Church, 420 E. Woertz Rd. (North Entrance/Pumpkin Patch doors).  1st and 3rd Monday of the School Year, from 5:30pm-6:30pm.  

Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is designed to help low-income households pay for energy services. Contact P.C.C.E.O. (Peoria Citizens Committee for Economic Opportunity) for more details or to apply for assistance. You can apply at the P.C.C.E.O. office in Peoria or fill out their online application, which is found at the link above.  

 

**The Princeville Village Hall also serves as a satellite location for residents near Princeville or residing within the Village limits to fill out the application for LIHEAP.  Please call ahead to set up a time, 309-385-4765.
