LANDSCAPE WASTE: grass or shrubbery cuttings, leaves, tree branches, and other materials accumulated as the result of the care of the lawn, yard, shrubbery, vines and trees.
Rocks, pavers, dirt, sand, plastic containers and flower pots ARE NOT considered lawn waste.
The 2024 landscape waste pick up schedule is every Tuesday (unless weather prohibits or holidays), April 2 – November 12.
The Village of Princeville does not have a public dump site. The site which the Village owns, is designated only for brush and landscape waste. This site is regulated by the E.P.A. and Village employees are the ONLY PEOPLE allowed to dump and burn landscape waste at this site. Public dumping is not allowed. If you have any questions about this, please contact Superintendent of Public Works, Chad Gardner or call Village Hall.
GFL Environmental – Yearly Landscape Waste Curb Pick Up will be Thursday, May 2, 2024
On that date, GFL will go street by street, one time, and collect:
* Landscape waste, which must be in brown biodegradable bags or private cans marked with big lettering, YARD WASTE.
* Bundles of sticks must be less than 4 feet in length and bundled with twine.
* Tree branches must be less than 3 inches in diameter/ 4 foot in length.
* Each bundle must weigh less than 50 pounds.
There will be no limit on the volume of landscape waste material a homeowner, properly sets out, during the curbside sweep.
Please have your items out to the curb the night before or very early morning of May 2nd, as they will start very early morning and to be sure your items get pick up!
